Top 5 Crowdfunding Projects In December

How has this game not been funded yet? I am honestly baffled by this one. It's visually stunning and that alone sets it above 95% of the other games on Kickstarter and IndieGoGo. It's also an MMO, not one of the million platformer or roguelike games you'll find out there, which makes it almost unique in this day and age.

It's an ambitious project, but if it only delivers on half the features it says it will, you're going to regret not getting in on this one. I'm not being paid to say this in any way either. I just genuinely think this games deserves to be made.

The only Australian game on this list, Mars Underground uses interesting game mechanics and a good sense of humour to drive the story. It's a story that we've seen before with the main character repeating the same day over and over, but it twists it into it's own version of the trope.

With the rising popularity of escape rooms for friends, families, and co-workers to work their way out of, I'm surprised we haven't seen more escape room style video games. That is essentially what this is and I think for a small project it definitely has merit.

In the vein of fun third person shooters like Team Fortress comes Renegade Line. It has a class based combat system with a variety of weapons, abilities, and characters to customize. The creators are pushing to make this an esports title, much like anyone who is making a multiplayer game now, but give the trailer a look and head over to the Kickstarter page if this is something you're interested in.

Antidote is a tower defense game which is attempting to make science more interesting so that you might learn something along the way. I stayed away from using the words 'fun' and 'educational' in that first sentence because whenever I read that I just roll my eyes and keep scrolling. Give this one a chance because it looks like they could actually be successful in pulling this off.
