XCOM 2: Six Months Later

"Successfully navigating XCOM 2's storm of difficult choices is enough to make you feel like a true legend." - Game Informer

"Exceptionally tough, rewarding strategy and a masterful reworking of the XCOM formula. We’ll play this forever." - PC Gamer

What is it?

Continuing on from the runaway success of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, XCOM 2 is the alien fighting sci-fi strategy game that has inspired so many others. If you like statistics, swords, and chancing your hand then this is the game for you!

Notable Issues

At launch there were several niggling issues that players were quick to fix with mods that added key functionality to improve how the camera works or change the UI. Some of these have since been patched out in updates but it's still worth looking into what players consider to be the 'must have' mods.

What's Changed?

XCOM 2 has had a three major DLC add ons (shown below) as well as a few large patches to fix a multitude of bugs and glitches. Firaxis has more recently announced that the game would be coming to console later this year.

One of the biggest changes to XCOM 2 has been the flood of community mods that have come out since launch. As an example, I'm a big fan of the Halo franchise and I have loved having some ODST troops at my disposal. For an idea of what's out there be sure to look at this list of the top XCOM 2 mods.
